SP8LIGHT was founded in late 2018 by Chris Newsome.

Since 2012, I’ve worked professionally within Leeds’ vibrant arts sector, with roles at The Carriageworks, Leeds Playhouse, Opera North  and currently at Av Matrix. Outside of my full-time work, I stay actively involved in the industry—designing lighting, programming on ETC family consoles, and sourcing electrical components for set design installations.
